Club Meeting: Tuesday, May 7
Our speaker this week will be Rotary Assistant District Governor Phil King. Phil will discuss the various Rotary Grants and how being a Paul Harris Fellow has an impact on grants. Examples of grants will be discussed as well as how to become a Paul Harris Fellow. Our Prayer, Pledge & Four Way Test will be led by Margrey Thompson.
Rotary District Conference is Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8 in Jackson, TN. There will be a block of rooms available at the Doubletree Hotel.
The conference will begin with a Kickoff Celebration on Friday evening at 6 p.m., featuring heavy hors d'oeuvres, cash bar, a DJ, games and a popcorn bar. Saturday will open with a breakfast at 7:30, followed by an inspirational message from Taft Ayers of Kennedy Broadcasting. Midmorning, there will be Rotary Jam Sessions on mental health, membership, service projects and club spotlight. Lunch and Listen will begin at 12:20 p.m. with the District Awards, the 4-way test speaking contest and the District Business Meeting. The conference will adjourn at 2:30 p.m. Rotarians from across District 6760 are invited. The schedule is attached.
